Ban Heang at First World Hotel brings the celebrated flavours of Penang's biscuit-making tradition to Genting Highlands. Founded in 1997 by Mr. Leow Tit Ban, the brand started with the renowned Tambun biscuits and has since expanded across the country with outlets in Penang, Kuala Lumpur and the highlands.
The Genting location offers visitors a chance to pick up classic Penang delicacies, including tambun biscuits in various flavours, tau sar peah and heong peah, all made with the same recipes that have earned Ban Heang a loyal following across Malaysia. The shop carries an assortment of traditional Malaysian biscuits and tidbits that make ideal souvenirs or gifts, with prices that are comparable to its Penang outlets and not excessive. Reviews note that the staff are courteous and not pushy for sales, allowing visitors to browse at their leisure.
The brand's commitment to quality and heritage has made it a go-to stop for anyone wanting to bring home a taste of Penang's famous snack culture. For a delicious piece of Penang to carry home from the highlands, Ban Heang is the place. Pick up a box of tambun biscuits, share the heong peah and let the taste of tradition travel with you.

Bad customer service, staff with very arrogant attitude at this Genting Highlands outlet. Purchased on 8 Dec, paid everything and collected afterwards because no stock. Two days later went to collect and they said no stock. They dress so professionally but the service is terrible.
Ng Siaw Ping
I first discovered their delicious laksa puff back in 2023. Back then each puff was RM4. Fast forward to present, now it's RM5.70 each. They have been increasing the price a few times over a short period of time. Sad to say I will not be buying them that often anymore.
Chai Hoong Fatt
Ordered 2 ice creams, 1 cempedak and 1 durian. After payment, staff told me durian is not ready to serve because it's too soft. Asked me to change both to cempedak. Since I had no choice, I was okay with it. Who knows, after she served the first cempedak ice cream, she said the other cempedak was also not ready.

Before you buy things from this Ban Heang in First World Plaza, please check whether the staff has fully packed all the items that you bought into the bag! Because the staff missed packing my 12pcs original egg tarts which cost a good amount.
